Nichola has 25 years’ experience as a personal chef cooking for high profile clients in the UK and abroad.

Nichola’s style of cooking is seasonal and local ,using our fabulous Scottish larder, for delicious healthy and inspired meals which will leave you feeling satisfied and impressed. Let the food do the talking ! Nichola also has a great interest in the importance of a diet rich in variation to maintain that mind body balance – that good feeling that expands into every aspect of our lives. Nichola has become really interested in plant based cooking and loves the flavours that our humble vegetables and beans can inspire into our daily diet.

Marco has been cooking professionally for more than 17 years and has a wealth of experience in the world of catering. During his career he has worked in different types of kitchens in 3 different countries: Italy, Germany and United Kingdom. Born in Palermo, Italy, Marco moved to Germany aged 19 after finishing his Catering Studies, where he worked as a Commis Chef. A desire to further his career brought him to Edinburgh where he became Sous Chef at Est Est Est at the age of 23, managing a brigade of 10 chefs. After 4 years, he then started to work for Café Marlayne, where he perfected his skills and gained experience in French cuisine and baking. Marco now cooks privately giving him the opportunity to bring culinary expertise into the homes of others

The world of wine is an enormous and diverse place where quality & prices vary between the extremes. The task of building our wine list started with no brief, but an agreement that we would only stock wines we wanted to drink ourselves.
Our aim is to offer a quality selection of wines that represent value and deliver enjoyment. We have a mixture of wines from large and small producers; established regions and up and coming ones; common grape varieties and some we had never heard of; famous producers and ones we tip for future stardom; traditional styles and modern styles; expensive wines and inexpensive wines. We are proud to be able to cater for a diverse range of dining – from large weddings to small private dinners, as well as tasting menus and canapé parties. The Old Millhouse is a beautiful location for a private dinner and whatever your needs, our team would be delighted to cater for you and help you to make your celebration or quiet getaway as special and unique as possible.
